7 weeks...1 day behind!

She is awake, smiling and busy!  All day yesterday people kept commenting on how much she's grown.  Mind you these were people who had just seen her on Friday.  It was a big weekend!

6 weeks

Lucy is celebrating by snoozing all day!  Growing really takes it out of a girl.

One of my favorite nights of the year...

The St. Louis Symphony has a concert outside on Art  Hill every September that is super high on my list of things I love to do.  It starts at 7 on a Thursday...a school night, you have to get there really early to park anywhere near Art Hill (which we never do), and we have a newborn.  You might think this would have sidelined our plans.   Think again!  I filled thermoses with mac and cheese for the girls, picked up a pizza from Katie's for mom and dad, loaded the red wagon with blankets and pillows and away we went.  We arrived right at 7, set up camp and I was in Heaven.  Snuggling under blankets with my family, listening to the symphony play live outside, it doesn't get better!

7

At 10:45 this morning Emma Josephine Baum turned 7!   Being Emma's mother is amazing. How blessed I am! She is a strong, brilliant, honest, loving, curious child who fills my heart to overflowing!

1 month

As it often is with things that complete you, it seems like Lucy has always been here.  We love her so much and she knows it!  I wish I had more time, there's so much to say about our first month together.  For now though, there's dinner to eat, homework to finish, last minute birthday party preparations to complete, a baby to cuddle and big girls to tuck in tight.

A perfect day for apple picking!

Yippee--Kevin took the afternoon off and we went to Eckert's!  What a perfect afternoon.
The picking crew grew by 2 this year!

She's taller than the fence this year!

Only the best apples will do---which required Kevin climbing a tree!  Or maybe that was just an excuse!

She may be missing her two front teeth but that doesn't slow her apple chomping!
