Emma has enjoyed a good joke for years. She started with knock knock jokes, funny and cute...at first...pure torture beyond the first week.
Here's her latest work
This party invitation was on my desk as a reminder to RSVP. Kevin asked me, "Who is this Jim that invited Ellie to a party?" "Jim??" I asked, glancing at my desk, "that invite is from Piper". " It says Jim" he responded. I looked at the invitation closely. Emma had erased Piper and written Jim. Punk'd by Emma! Good thing she didn't see us doubled over laughing...we wouldn't want to encourage this type of behavior :). Keep your eyes open around this girl, who knows what she'll do next.

So thankful
Thanksgiving was wonderful. We were in Kansas City from Wednesday through Sunday and nary a meltdown or even a close encounter! We had loads of fun with our fabulous family and felt sincerely thankful the whole time. Tonight, Bing Crosby is my soundtrack as I make dinner in my cozy kitchen and I'm again reminded of my many blessings.

Packing with my sidekick!
I'm in the middle of packing. Not my favorite thing.
I'm so thankful though that I have somewhere to pack for, family to look forward to and the means to get there. But still...I don't like packing!

Sleepover Success!
Emma and Ellie had their first sleepover last night and I'm happy to say it was a total success! No tears, no fighting just hours of fun. I love having girls!!
Lucy loved all of the extra action. I think she's already planning her first sleepover!
Logey, pack your bags :)!!
These two spent their evening composing and preforming songs...really silly songs! They spent their late night giggling over Mad Libs.
While these two created many pieces of art, including this fabulous work aptly titled "Starry Night"! Then they read each other books at bed time!
Logey, pack your bags :)!!

Baby Overalls Rock! Pajama Day Rocks!
Everything we like around here rocks! Books rock, macaroni and cheese rocks, and certainly adorable, soft, pink baby overalls rock...not to mention the baby in them. Ellie says "she looks just like a mini farmer".

Thankful at 12 weeks
When Emma and Ellie were each 12 weeks old I returned to work. I am a teacher and I consider myself a very blessed person, because I love my work. But, oh the heartache I felt returning. Especially with Emma, since I was still working full time. It was better with Ellie, having only to be away half a day, but still I was sad. The joy I feel today not leaving Lucy is unexplainable. I can only say that I'm thankful, very, very thankful. I look forward to someday returning to the classroom but for now my home and my family are my work which makes me one lucky lady.
