I volunteered at Ellie's preschool today and we made apple pie. They'll serve it tomorrow for snack...not the ordinarily healthy snack but hey, it has apples! The memory of baking with these jokesters will keep me smiling for days. They karate chopped the apples, continually wiped their noses on their sleeves (is it already cold season?), stirred with such vigor that I'm surprised we didn't end up with applesauce, loved pinching the dough and cheered when they heard the other kids were outside playing because "that means we don't have to clean up the toys, they already did it!!".
